GGPoker Becomes New Owner of WSOP
Last year was notable when GGPoker’s parent company NSUS Group Inc. bought the World Series of Poker from Caesars Entertainment for $500 Million; an agreement was struck allowing Caesars to continue hosting tournaments up to 2044 at their properties.
Caesars Entertainment (then Harrah’s Entertainment), acquired both Binion’s Horseshoe and WSOP for $44.3 million in 2004, only to subsequently sell off operating rights to Binion’s Casino back. This acquisition marks an evolution for Caesars.
