Vinny Magalhaes was arrested by Las Vegas authorities last Saturday following allegations from TMZ Sports regarding three family members being threatened with weapons by Vinny.
No shots were fired during this incident and there were no physical injuries as a result of it.
Magalhaes has now turned 40 and faces three counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, currently held at Clark County Detention Center and waiting legal proceedings to occur.
Legal documents reveal Magalhaes made his initial court appearance this Tuesday; with another hearing scheduled on December 23. If found guilty on all counts, Magalhaes faces an 18 year maximum jail term.
Vinny Magalhaes, more popularly known by his nickname Pezao, first gained recognition through competing on “The Ultimate Fighter”, an UFC reality TV competition. Although he reached the finals, Ryan Bader eventually prevailed as light heavyweight champion of 2008.
Magalhaes was relieved from UFC competition following an epic knockout loss against Anthony Perosh. Magalhaes completed 19 wins against 12 losses during his professional MMA career.

Last November 2021 saw her most recent battle take place within the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ending abruptly due to an accidental foul call.
As Magalhaes prepares to appear before his court date, there has been no public statements made by him regarding this incident on any social media platform.
