news

An event of shocking cruelty occurred in Las Vegas when authorities discovered five puppies abandoned inside a trash bag at a dumpster, sparking the arrest of an individual for this act of animal abuse. This shocking event shed light on this serious act against animal rights.

On November 5, abandoned puppies were discovered emitting an unpleasant chlorine odor at an apartment complex on Charleston Boulevard and investigations later revealed they had been doused with bleach and another cleaning agent, according to police reports.

Following this incident, 39-year-old Las Vegas resident Michael Grindrod was apprehended on November 6 and charged with animal abuse as well as auto theft investigation. Grindrod reportedly was suffering through serious personal hardships at the time of his arrest such as home eviction and job loss when arrested.

On a positive note, the rescue organization involved has named their remaining dogs “Zoey and her Zoo,” after their mother Zoey. Unfortunately, one of nine puppies had to be put down due to severe injuries but there’s hope for full recovery for all eight survivors and Zoey herself.

The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas provides services to find homes for unwanted dogs and other pets as well as provide much-needed food supplies to animals in need.
