Medier alleges Tyson became too focused on his high-profile return against social media influencer Jake Paul, leading them to breach it in violation of their agreement.
The Crux of the Lawsuit
Medier filed suit in London’s High Court alleging Tyson’s failure to fulfill their contract caused substantial financial losses amounting to $1.6 million. Medier argues Tyson’s choice to focus his energies on his fight with Jake Paul announced and streamed on Netflix caused him to neglect Rabona ambassadorial duties; even though this fight generated an estimated $20 million payout for Tyson himself. Medier contends it left them significantly out-of-pocket financially as a result.
Failed Promises
Under the terms of his agreement with Rabona Casino published February 6, 2024, Tyson was expected to connect with its community through monthly livestreams, playing their casino games while providing insights from his extensive boxing career.
