Pennsylvania Casino Sued After Guest Experiences Unpleasant Incident

news

Rita Romagnoli of Greensburg in Pennsylvania initiated legal proceedings against Live! Casino Pittsburgh after she experienced distressing events when an unexpected pipe burst and covered her in raw sewage while visiting on July 28. When this transpired she was engaged in gambling activities at the casino at that time and her attire quickly turned foul from being covered with waste material.

Romagnoli claims that while playing slot machines, she was doused in human waste due to a burst pipe above. This unfortunate circumstance led to hospitalization with bacterial pneumonia requiring two weeks at Westmoreland Hospital before recovery could commence.

Health Impacts and Emotional Distress

In her lawsuit filings, Romagnoli details how her injuries stemming from this event caused serious health consequences – such as pneumonia – as well as tremendous distress and suffering for herself and her family – pain, embarrassment, mental anguish and emotional trauma included.

Allegations has been levelled against Stadium Casino, the entity managing Live! Casino Pittsburgh, for allegedly failing to uphold safe premises by failing to inspect and rectify defects as well as not identifying or eliminating hazardous conditions that exist on their property.

Reports of Another Victim

An additional casino patron reported their similar experience to local media, detailing an instance in which water that appeared tainted with something appeared to pour down upon her and another guest at the casino despite assurances from employees that it was just water. While casino staff assured them it wasn’t harmful, such an occurrence caused alarm due to similarities with what had happened with Romagnoli.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh has not provided an official response regarding these allegations.
